Can I try this Diet if I have already tried Gluten
Free/Casein Free/Food Elimination?
Yes! This Diet removes all of the big culprits such as gluten,
casein, and soy. It will also teach you how to test foods, such
as corn and egg, to see if your child reacts to it. Then you can
see which foods you can keep in your child’s diet so that he can
gain the added nutrition that his body desperately needs.
Most food elimination or rotation diets rotate food
families every other day on a 4-Day rotation. The Forever Healthy
Diet™ is different because it rotates food families so that most
are used only once during the 5-Day rotation. This gives the immune
system an even better chance to rest and focus on what it really
needs to be doing such as handling bacterial or viral issues.
How is The Forever Healthy Diet™ different than a standard
rotation diet?
The Forever Healthy Diet™ first eliminates all of the major allergens
right away, such as gluten, casein and soy. Then it tests corn
and egg, which are also known to be very reactive for these children.
Then, The Diet rotates over 55 food families on a 5-day rotation
plan. Most rotation plans use a standard 4-day rotation.
Then we take it even a step further by allowing most of the food
families to be used only once during the rotation. This helps
you to quickly figure out if there is a reaction. Most standard
rotation plans allow each food family to be used every other day
during a 4-day rotation plan.
What foods are allowed on this Diet?
Many mineral packed, nutrient dense foods are offered on this
Diet. A vast variety of gluten free grains, proteins, seeds and
nuts, land vegetables, herbs, sweeteners, sea vegetables, oils
and fats, probiotic foods, and drinks are offered. They
are all categorized into food families so all you have to do is
follow the plan that is laid out for you.
Can I still do this if I am following a low oxalate
diet?
Absolutely! This Diet is completely customizable. You can change
it by adding or taking away foods from the list of Food Families
in the back of the book.
If you know your child should only eat low oxalate foods, just
keep the high-oxalate foods out her Diet.
Can I still do this if my child does not tolerate
grains?
Yes! Some children cannot tolerate grains or any other starchy
food. You will just need to keep grains or any other reactive
foods out of his diet. There are many other menu options available
to you that you can serve in place of grains or other starches.
Does Blood Type have anything to do with being successful
on this Diet?
We do believe that blood type can play a role in diet. The role
it has depends on the individual. We highly recommend the book Eat
Right For Your Blood Type by Peter J. D'Adamo, which will
explain in great detail about the foods that are thought to be
right for each blood type.
Each person is unique, and therefore we encourage you to test the
foods that may not be right for your blood type so that you can
tell if they are appropriate or not.
